My CAC reader LED flashes rapidly for 5 seconds then turns off.
I followed the instructions to clean and uninstall everything. I did the same thing Saturday and it randomly didn't work. I have a SCR3310 reader and I was using Centrify Express and my CAC to log into work on Friday. There is an active Citrix support thread on the “no valid certificates found” issue. Note: This entire post is basically google search bait designed to (hopefully) allow others struggling with the same issues to save a bit of time. Wiki researchers have been writing reviews of the latest smart card readers since 2016. Currently, the best smart card reader is the IOgear Reader. The box mentioned NOTHING about Mac compatibility but its MemoryStick Duo, SDHC and CompactFlash slots work purrrfectly. I totally STOLE a 21-in-one FireWire/USB card reader from my uncle.
In other news, I've connected zillions of USB card readers to my Mac from about 10 different brands, all worked.
